The place

Villa Maria

A timeless historic residence on a gentle hill above Lake Trasimeno, where the evenings end in unforgettable sunsets. Two stone houses in a private walled estate — eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a grand pool, a fireplace and piano, a lake-view terrace, a library, an olive grove and a garden to disappear into. For four days it belongs to no one but us.

The long table laid under the stone portico

The birthday

A long lunch that refuses to end, a golden afternoon over Lake Trasimeno, then a feast at a candlelit long table. Toasts until very late.
